Beacon Herald changes thanks to SunMedia

Well, the not so local sneakin Bacon Herald may have even less local content thanks to SunMedia?  But who knows what the big mega corp wants to do.

Maybe its time to close the doors over there.  Time to realize paper paper's are dead-especially if they don't report local material more vigoursly and if all they do is report negative crap!

Thank goodness we have SNAP Perth for real, local, positive  news.  No blood & guts reporting there!  Good job Chris and crew!

Normal people want positive information.  Blood thirsty loosers that focus on all the bad--- they like 'newspapers' (using term loosely...).

Sorry, I'll take positive over negative anyday.  You all should try it- you might smile more...

News...by its very nature is something that is new and noteworthy.  I would hope that on any given day that good things are the norm and therefore the majority of the out of ordinary items to be reported on are bad things.

Primary beef with Bacon Harold is its lack of devotion to the community news.  I don't want to read about Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, Detroit blah blah blah.  Wanna hear more local info, more local content, less world/country stuff.  Maybe they should print on Tuesday's and Saturday's only so they don't have to force feed the paper with world filler.

I agree 100%.

I have often seen local storys that were picked up from the wire rather than send a local reporter.  Not good when the local paper has a story that starts out saying that something occurred in St. Marys , "located  160 km west of Toronto".

SNAP is not news.
It's a photo album.
Unfortunately, the Sneakin' is not news, either.
Good riddance to John Kastner.

Agreed!
With all due respect, name one hard hitting piece of journalistic brilliance ever produced by any Perth county rag ?
