Yes, let's get rid of those workers who make a decent wage, because that's evil. It's not like losing jobs will effect the economy in any way. I'm sure that none of those people pay taxes, or buy stuff, or stimulate the economy at all. I say let's get rid of them, and then, because there are no jobs (other than part-time minimum wage jobs), they can all sit at home and collect money from the government. That makes much more sense to me, too....

Can't buy into it Cougs.....they are 100% supported and paid for with tax dollars....or lately with borrowed government of Ontario dollars. Their cost far out weighs any benefit they have to the non-government workers in the province

At least they would be collecting much less money from the government. But don't forget as they are civil servants they will get a big separation package and still get a fat pension. Unlike the rest of us non union workers who get a boot in the ass when losing our jobs and then have to live off CPP when or if we can retire.

Well....did you watch the debates tonight??  In my opinion, Wynne got her butt kicked.  All about the waste of $$ about the gas plants and the Liberals are "corrupt".  To my way of thinking, corrupt is someone taking $$ for personal gain.  I don't really think that is the case.  I just think they are really really inept to the point of stupidity.  And I don't know why she did not state"yes we cancelled the gas plants, and the cancellations of contracts costs money, much more that we thought....but both the NDP and the Conservatives are on record as wanting these gas plants cancelled too....so stop being hypocritical about the cancellations!!!"

But I cannot stomach Mr. Smiley and his math issues!  and Horvath wants to spend a whole bunch of money on this and that....and yet still balance the budget....sorry, just don't see it.

I think they all suck.

Personal gain?....yes it was the personal gain of getting two Liberal MPP's elected.

Lets face it...this province and by extension its population are in a lot of trouble. The Liberals will not solve this. If they are re-elected it will just embolden them to do more nonsensical stuff...the socialists...good lord that would be a worse train wreck.

I am not thrilled with Hudak...never have been....however as the lesser evil...I take him

Not about person gain. Maybe not but buying votes definitely. Like her new plan to charge 10 cents a litre more on already high gas prices to pay for Toronto's transit! Why should I pay for TO's transit? Does the government fund Stratford Transit at all? If not I sure as hell don't what to pay more for gas to pay for TO's. If they can't pay for their own transit why should I just to win votes!!

The one thing we can agree on. I use to be Liberal a long time ago but not any more. Only problem is these people who will still vote Liberal just because they always vote Liberal.

Re: Oh Boy!!!! Another election

I have never been harassed so much in one election as I have been in this one. Almost daily calls from all parties to either vote or to ask who I am voting for. Recorded messages that don't end until they end thus locking up your phone even if you hang up.

Well congratulations to Pettapiece....he won with a comfortable margin (so says the BH) over the Liberals who have a majority government.  Now Stratford can look forward to prosperity.....we are now represented by a powerless opposition guy.  Oh the horrors of the windmills!!!!!!!

Re: Oh Boy!!!! Another election

Don't forget the gas tax to pay for TO's transit. The mandatory pension contributions to a pension overseen by the Liberals. And just so the gays can have something else to dance in the streets about she's a lesbian too. Not that it was ever an issue in the campaign but they are making it an issue now. Look we are so special we now have a guy person in government.

Your point is what, exactly?  That people should stick their fingers in the wind, try to sense which direction the election is going, and vote sheep-like for the prospective winning party, regardless?

I want a Tory government, but as it likely won't happen, I should vote for the party I'm against?  Is the sky blue where you live?

Perth-Wellington sent a message, as did every riding, on how they'd like to be governed.  This is the system at work.  Not happy with the overall result, but happy for P-W.

Re: Oh Boy!!!! Another election

Yup, my sky is blue and sunny.  I hear you....and the majority of other P-W voters....now sing from the same song sheet as the vast majority of other rural voters across the southern Ontario.  Vote Conservative.  Just stating the reality of the situation....benefits will go to the areas that voted for the party in power....and this unfortunately this will be the urban centres.  So there should be no surprises when a disproportionate amount of our taxes go to support urban transit, subways, and roads...and less on rural needs.  You are correct...vote for who you want...just commenting on the obvious result.  Tear down those windmills!!!

Re: Oh Boy!!!! Another election

It was pretty much the idiots in TO who again have kept this government in power. All the rest of Southern Ontario was basically PC. So hurray the Liberals bought another vote from Toronto by spending taxpayers dollars.
