There are some great Community Theatre show coming up in the area!

"You Can't Take It With You" in St. Marys
Alice Sycamore has to introduce the family of her fiance, Tony Kirby, to her own family. That’s when the fun starts! The Kirbys are a wealthy, stuffy family of great self-importance, while the Sycamore’s are a collection of good-hearted lunatics. When the two families come together on the wrong night, lifestyle and philosophy collide head-on in a series of zany misadventures. You won’t want to miss this hilarious Pulitzer Prize winning comedy by Moss Hart & George S. Kaufman.

"Steel Magnolias" in New Hamburg
The quintessential story of friendship and trust, Steel Magnolias serves up a southern slice of life that’s as warm and comforting as sweet potato pie! In the world of Truvy’s local-homegrown beauty salon, six very different women come together to share their secrets, fears and love for one another while engaging the audience in hysterical and neighborly gossip. From weddings to divorces, babies to funerals, new beginnings to happy endings, they share each moment in their lives with grace, determination, and perfectly coiffed hair. When tragedy strikes, it is in the familiar comfort of Truvy’s salon where they seek the solace and support that carries them through.

"The Mikado" in Stratford
Often called Gilbert & Sullivan's masterpiece, this well known show, which premiered in 1885, will have all the glamour and tradition you are sure to expect from a Gilbert & Sullivan production.
A year before the action of this opera begins, Nanki-Poo, son of the Mikado of Japan, fled his father's imperial court to escape marriage with Katisha, an elderly lady. Disguised as a traveling musician, he met and fell in love with Yum-Yum, the young ward of Ko-Ko, a cheap tailor in the town of Titipu. Yum-Yum, however, was already betrothed to her guardian, and Nanki-Poo left Titipu in despair.
The names of the characters while sounding Japanese owe more to the Victorian nursery, for example "Pitti Sing" equates to "pretty thing" in nursery speak.
Performances November 14, 15, 16, 20, 21 & 22
